Getting rich, or even richer, is no mean feat. You might think it's easy to make a fortune, start up your own business or even win the lottery... but in truth the secrets behind increasing your wealth is more about a state of mind...

The first thing you need to is to decide what rich means to you. Like success, it can be measured in many different ways. It can mean different things for different people. You might think that having a million pounds in your bank account is rich, or you may decide that simply having enough money to buy the things you want is rich enough for you.
My second top tip is to start saving. However, I find saving difficult, but if you can focus on what you are saving for, it will help you massively. But don't save, just so you can 'be rich'. Money doesn't buy happiness and you shouldn't risk your happiness because of your determination to save to get rich.
It's always important to be conscious of the costs in life. Research before buying something and haggle for a discount. Not only will this help you save money, you'll also feel better knowing you paid less than the original asking price.
Avoid those 'get-rich-quick' schemes and scams. The majority of them are a waste of your money and only help make the driving force behind the programme richer, not you. The reason the organisers have an income of 6-figures is because people believe it and so pay them money to copy their formula - don't fall for it.
Understand that the difference between winners and losers, is that winners earn their prize. You'll get richer sooner by working hard and saving hard, than wasting money investing in schemes, scams and lotteries. I'm not saying none of them work, of course it is possible to win the lottery, but the chances of winning are very, very slim (if that) and you'll do better earning your riches by earning your riches.
I'm sorry if you feel cheated that I haven't provided you with the secret formula to tripling your bank account, but the truth is simple. Work hard, save hard and ultimately play hard.
